2月13日、バンクーバー冬季オリンピックの開会式で、「We Are the World 25 for Haiti」が流された。
25年前、アフリカの飢餓のために"USA for AFRICA"が設立され、そのキャンペーン曲：「We Are the World」には、マイケル・ジャクソン、ライオネル・リッチー、ダイアナ・ロス、ボブ・ディラン、スティービー・ワンダー、レイ・チャールら数多くの超々大物アーティストたちが参加した。
今回の「We Are the World 25 for Haiti」の楽曲、ビデオの収益金は、すべてハイチ地震救援のためWe are the World Foundationに寄付される。
