チャレンジド（challenged）
アメリカでは障害をもつ人々をチャレンジド（challenged）と表現している。神からチャレンジという使命を与えられた人という意味だ。
全盲となった教師が復職への困難を乗り越え、生徒たちや同僚の教師たちとのふれあいの中で成長していくというＴＶドラマが、以前ＮＨＫで放映された。その題名が「チャレンジド」だった。
しかし、プライベートレッスンをしてもらっているイギリス人の女性講師は、障害をもつ人々のことを「Disabled Persons」と言っている。う～む・・・どっちが良いのか？？
